The Computer Science & Engineering Department recently organized an exhilarating Internal Hackathon in preparation for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024. This event aimed to ignite innovation and foster collaboration among students, providing them with a platform to tackle real-world problems with creative technological solutions. Participants were divided into teams and given a range of challenges to address, encouraging them to apply their coding skills and problem-solving abilities in a competitive yet supportive environment. The hackathon not only honed their technical expertise but also enhanced their project management and teamwork skills. By simulating the conditions of the national hackathon, the event prepared students to showcase their talents effectively and build a strong foundation for SIH 2024.
Dr. Sushil Kumar from the Central University of Haryana delivered an insightful expert talk on "Embedded Systems: Issues & Challenges" on January 20, 2025. The session highlighted critical challenges in embedded systems, including power consumption, real-time constraints, resource limitations, and security concerns. Dr. Kumar emphasized the importance of optimizing hardware and software integration while addressing the complexities of testing, debugging, and ensuring system compatibility. Students of BCA and CSE gained valuable insights into these challenges, learning about the ongoing research and practical solutions being developed to enhance embedded system design and deployment.
